Reed Moticka, RelayIDOL08 Winner

Well, we wrapped up the 2008 Relay for Life performance. Our team of 31 folks kicked some butt, raising over $3,200 with our silent auction, prize raffle, temp tattoo sales, glow bracelet sales, team sponsorship donations and - of course - our RelayIDOL08 singing competition, complete with Guest Judge Hostages.
We had several talented competitors this year, including the returning champs, The Pink Ladies, and their stiff competition, those cute Delfino Twins... it was a battle royale for the big purple trophy and bragging rights. The Top 3 included Sienna McDonald, Reed Moticka and The Delfino Twins, and with a crowd-pleasing performance of solid vocals and hip shakin', Reed Moticka took this year's trophy and title as RelayIDOL08 winner, edging out his competition by just a matter of a few points.
Big thanks to everyone on our team, and everyone who participated in the singing competition and our other fundraisers. Special thanks to our celebrity performers, The Outlaws, for rocking the stage, and to David Weber of Weber's ATA Black belt Academy, for volunteering his time with a kick-off (no pun intended) taekwondo demo!

IN OTHER NEWS... Katie and I both have some performances coming up with our bands. Katie's singing with a band called The Outlaws, who just wrapped up a performance at Relay4Life. I'm a vocalist with Heritage, a local classic rock band. Be sure to check the calendar for dates and details... we'll post 'em as we get 'em! Also, we're still hard at work on some recording projects, and are hoping to get some new music posted soon.
